Shenku

2D animation film, directed by MICAELA GABOT

Shenku is a 90-minute animated feature for children, marking the directorial debut of Micaela Gabot.

When plant spirits pass away, they are called to the Greenhouse Sanctuary, where they are guided through a journey of rest, memory, and self-reflection before being reborn. But when Planti, the spirit of a basil sprout killed by a vicious cat, refuses to accept his fate, he steals the caretaker’s magic baton and escapes back into the world of the living.

Shenku is a story about empathy, grief, redemption, and learning to accept life’s passing with love.
